| NAUP holds activists' meet | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 12: Sandeep Singh President National Awami United Party chaired a meeting of party activists and leaders at party headquarters, Jammu on today discussing various issues hardships being faced by general masses. A threadbare discussion was held on the functioning of Jammu Municipal corporation. Party leaders expressed concerns over the growing allegations of corruption in the various works & department of Jammu Municipal Corporation . In the recently held meeting of General house of JMC , a chaos like situation was witnessed where in many corporators charged Mayor ,for corrupt practices. Participants this does not augur well for making Jammu city as SMART CITY. NAUP has received scores of complaints from Jammuites that JMC has failed to delivered that required services to people. As drainage sanitation system is in a pathetic situation. Garbage is seen littered in every nook & corners of Jammu city. Sandeep singh lambasted the administration for not action against the JMC even when allegations of corruption have come in open. NAUP demands immediate action by Anti Corruption in JMC. NAUP also appealed Governor Administration to take action for regular power supply as due to burning of transformers & erratic power supply, people are facing hardships in this sultry weather. |
