9/12/2019 11:01:13 PM

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 12: Even as Director Agriculture has kept in abeyance transfer order of 28 Agriculture Extensional Assistants (AEAs) of Jammu division but these flip-flop transfers have exposed the rampant corruption and nepotism prevails in department concerned.
Well place sources in department informed that Directorate of Agriculture Jammu has announced transfer order with vide order No. 275 DAJ of 2019 dated 06/09/2019 wherein the Director of Jammu made transfer of 28 Agriculture Extensional Assistants but ironically just after three day, the Director Agriculture Jammu has kept the same order in abeyance which has exposed the rampant corruption and nepotism in the department.
The order no. 279/DAJ of 2019 dated 09/09/2019 reads as "The order no. 275 DAJ of 2019 dated 06.09.2019 on transfer/posting circulated vide endorsement No. Agri/DAJ/Estt/2019-20/3715-29 dated 06/09/2019 is hereby kept in abeyance with immediate effect till further order."
Sources further said that various AEAs who have been posted in far flung areas of hilly districts of Jammu division made hue and cry over the alleged nepotism and rampant corruption over the transfer of the employees and said that the influential ones who have been already at reachable distance from the their hometown got new place of choicest posting only due to proximity with power corridor.
"Just after the announcement of transfer order of dated 06/09/2019, the AEAs approached the Advisor to Governor and apprised him regarding the prevailing corruption and nepotism in recently transfer order. Thereafter, the Advisor to Governor took immediate measures and directed the DAJ for withheld the transfer order of Agriculture Extensional Assistant", said sources while wishing anonymity.
An AEA while wishing anonymity alleged that earlier, the same director also made controversial transfer order wherein influential have been got choicest as well as nearest posting and thereafter the said order were cancelled by the intervention of higher ups. Now the DAJ once again going on same path which should be stopped and immediate enquiry should be initiated against the erring officials and ensure a transparent transfer policy so that the deserving one never ignored.
