Programme on 'No to Single Usable Plastic' organised

Jammu, Sept 14: On the occasion of birth anniversary of Narinder Modi, Prime Minister of India, in this context the awareness campaign with regard to avoiding plastic use, "No To Single Usable Plastic' was organised by Adv. Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor, Jammu from ward no. 01.
The dignitaries who attended the said awareness programme on the eve of Birth anniversary of Narinder Modi were Ashok Khajuria(Sr. Leader and MLC of BJP), Baldev Bilowria( District President), Rajeev Charak( Vice President and Incharge Sewa Saptah) , Jugal Dogra, (Prabhari Jammu East), Suresh Bharti, (President of Ward No. 01) , Shubh Lata Sharma (Prabhari Satwari ), Karan Singh and Naresh Abrol (State Executive Miembers), Kandari Ji along with complete BJP family members of ward no. 1.
The prominent and senior citizens of ward number 1 also participated in the programme and pledged to run the awareness programme in near future to avoid the use of single usable plastic so that the health loss of crores of people and animals could be saved.
The awareness campaign was started from Mubarak Mandi Park in ward no. 1 and whole ward no. 1 was covered during the awareness campaign. During the campaign, local residents of ward no. 1 were made aware by the Adv. Purnima Sharma of the harmful effects of plastics to environment, humans and animals. She also encouraged the use of reusable cloth bags and to completely avoid and reject the use of plastic bags.
