ARTO Udhampur imposes fine of Rs 2.5 lakh on 22 Vehicles

Udhampur , Sept 14: Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Udhampur Rachana Sharma (KAS ) held different Nakas on different place of district udhampur under municipal limit as well as out side of the city For checking the vehicles who violates under motor vehicle act.
During the checking 22 vehicles have been booked and issued the challans under various provisions of motor vehicle act 1998 for the overloading and other violations and imposed total fine RS 2.5 lakh including maximum were imposed to six vehicles (load carrier tippers) Rs. 58000, Rs 44000, Rs. 20000, Rs. 20000 etc.
The Vehicles include load carriers tippers, matadors, buses etc which were violating provisions meant for safety and security of passengers and others, added Arto office.
ARTO Udhampur rachana sharma told to early times that traffic rules are for the safety of the people and people are supposed to follow the traffic rules .she also said that fines are increased many times but this increase in the fine is not to punish people but to make them follow the traffic rules and implement the traffic laws in their lifestyles.
She further added that it has been seen that private vans or matadors have been used in Private Schools for the students and these vehicles openly violate the traffic rules Even some day before we were imposed fine to these types of vehicles who payed the life of children's which are the future of our nation and she urged that parents will also use the school vans for their children.
ARTO office alone cannot achieve good system until people cooperate with them, she added.
