Citizen's Forum criticizes Airtel for disconnecting mobile for non-payment of bills | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 14: Citizen's Forum has criticized the Telephone Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) for adding miseries to the people of Jammu by allowing Airtel to disconnect mobile services of sevral people in Jammu region for non-payment of bills. RK Chadha, president of the Forum, said that people used to pay bills via their AirtelThanks App loaded in their mobiles. In the absence of internet services since August 5 as ordered by J&K Government, most of the post paid customers couldn't pay their bills to the company by using the App. Chadha further said as is known the people of Jammu are suffering losses n business and their regular works are also getting disturbed due to non-availability of internet services, the Airtel is charging full monthly bills without providing internet service and finally disconnecting the connections for non- payment of last two months bills. He requested the Governor to kindly take up this issue with TRAI to issue suitable order to all mobile companies providing services in J&K, particularly they should not charge for the internet cost not being provided to the customers presently. |
