Balwinder expresses concern over unattended garbage

Jammu, Sept 15: Balwinder Singh Rinku President pointed out towards the pathetic situation created by the garbage scattered throughout Nanak Nagar Jammu during the meeting it was emphasized that if at one place the Government plans to make Jammu a smart city then on the other place how can it ignore to provide basic facilities like that of cleanliness and collection of garbage whereas it is already charging Rupees 100 from every family/ house for the same purpose. A.S. Khera Advocate Chairman said that such heaps of garbage not only looks like a scare on the beauty of the city and smells miserably but also because source of spreading many diseases and harbour unwanted pests like rats ticks mites insects and even stray animals like dogs and cats with in turn become carriers of many diseases. In the meeting other issues like excessive cuts in power supply and slow pace of development work were also discussed, , the old Street lights are non functional and their replacement with new LEDs is much slow. The society urged the government agencies to work hard for the betterment of the city and give due attention towards the demands of the people of Guru Nanak Nagar Jammu.
