Battle lines drawn for finals in Governor's Silver Rolling Volleyball Championship

UDHAMPUR, Sept 15: Finalists got lined up for title matches in the ongoing 5th edition of Governor's Silver Rolling Volleyball Championship, 2019 being organized at Government Degree College (GDC) Udhampur.
Arch rivals have lined up again for title match in women's category wherein host Government Degree College outperformed GGM Science College in the second semi-final match to book their berth for final against GDC Kathua for title match.
In a tough and breathtaking fight GDC Udhampur defeated GGM Science College by 3-2 whereas GDC Kathua register an easy win over defending champion GDC Hiranagar by 3-1.
Earlier, three league matches and four quarter final matches in men's section and four quarter final matches in women's section were played.
GDC Udhampur defeated GDC Ramnagar (2-0), GDC Kathua defeated GDC Banihal (2-1), GDC Hiranagar won against GDC Poonch (2-1), GGM Science College won against GDC Reasi (2-0).
In women section, GCW Parade beat GDC Ramnagar (2-0) in the first semi-final while GCW Gandhinagar beat GDC Neeli Nallah (2-0) in the 2nd semifinal.
The matches were officiated Amit Sharma, Sanjeev Verma, Sanjay Sharma, Ajeet Singh, Pawan Kumar, Kuldeep Sharma, Pushp Sharma, Kulbushan Kumar, Shashi Sharma, Manik Nargotra and Rakesh Sharma.
