Early Times Report

UDHAMPUR, Sept 16: The link road between Industrial Estate Bowli and village Phangial is in dilapidated condition owing to the apathy of authorities concerned who are doing nothing to initiate repair of this road.
The length of this road is just 1 km which starts from Dhar road as a vital link for the villages situated nearby.
According to locals, the road was last black topped approximately six years ago but drains were not constructed on both edges of the road adding that over the years the road got deteriorated due to regular wear and tear.
They said a large number of people daily commute on this road but the condition of the road is such that it poses a grave threat to the precious human lives as there is a high risk of accidents due to pot-holes.
Sources informed that the already dilapidate link road further got damaged after Reliance Jio personnel dug it to lay Optical Fibre Cables (OFCs). Surprisingly, the concerned PWD authorities have neither objected to the digging of road nor have they ensured the repair work.
When contacted Executive Engineer PWD said that he will look into the matter and repair of the road will be taken up soon after the finalization of the tendering process.
