Jammu, Sep 16: On the Occasion of 52nd Engineers Day Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk Jammu organized Inter Polytechnic Debate and Poster Making Competition MANTHAN -2019. The function started with lightening of lamp followed by paying homage to The Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. Er Arun Bangotra, Principal of the college, Aizaz Qaiser, Asstt Commissioner Development Jammu graced the occasion as Chief Guest. While speaking on the occasion Er Arun Bangotra highlighted the contributions of Sir. M.K to the society and appreciated the role of Engineers in Nation Building and advised the students to follow the path of legend Engineer to attain success in life. Aizaz Qaiser, ACD Jammu motivated the students to work hard and use their Engineering intelligence, knowledge and skill for the welfare of the nation, society and humanity. In the Debate Competition Twenty-eight students participated from Government Polytechnic Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Reasi, IECS Polytechnic and NITS Polytechnic.
The topic for the debate was "Role of Engineers in Nation Building". The First prize was won by Girinder Kumar from Govt. Polytechnic, Jammu, while second prize was shared by Tanvi Chib from IECS Polytechnic and Niharika Goswami from NITS Polytechnic and third prize was also shared by Joy Abhishek Nawab from NITS Polytechnic and Ms Khushboo Shali of IECS in very tough competition. |
