NEW DELHI, Sept 16: Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik on Monday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi here. The Prime Minister's Office tweeted, 'Satya Pal Malik, the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir called on PM @narendramodi.' Malik is supposed to have discussed development-related issues of the state with Modi.
Recently, speaking about the Centre's efforts in Jammu and Kashmir, Malik had said, "The government lives for you. Have you ever heard of a Home Minister sitting with sarpanches and asking them what they want?… Home Minister Amit Shah is holding meetings with sarpanches from the state and asking them to tell him what needs to be done.' |
