It is pertinent that service issues of 31000 plus employees is at stake as government has failed to assure in terms of a detailed transition plan by publishing the same for the knowledge and perusal of the employees. The employees are concerned about their future in these companies, since the road map is not clear. Through newspaper reports it has come to know that companies shall make their own recruitment rules and promotion rules leading to a situation that employees of the JKPDD shall be facing the shortage of promotion avenues as these Power development department posts being transferred to companies could be manned in the company by private persons from open market through lateral entry. Further the assurance about 100 percent budgetary support for drawing salary and all arrears as and when due to the employees up to the date of superannuation should be made part of the transition plan document.
