Jammu, Sept 17: Intercollegiate Men and Women Chess Tourney of Cluster University of Jammu was organized by the Department of Students Welfare, CLUJ at Govt. MAM College, Jammu. Prof. Geetanjali A. Rana Dean Faculty of Arts was the Chief Guest while Prof. P.K. Sharma, Principal, Govt. MAM College was the Guest of Honour. In men section, Govt. GGM Science College beat SPMR College of Commerce by 3-1 and Govt. MAM College get walkover against College of Education. In women section, SPMR College of Commerce beat GCW Gandhi Nagar by 2.5 to 1.5 and GGM Science College get walkover and enters in final. Tomorrow GGM Science College and Govt. MAM College will play final in men section and in women section GGM Science College and SPMR College of Commerce will fight to lift the trophy. Prof. Twinkle Suri, Dean Students Welfare, Dr. Vinod Bakshi (Sports Coordinator), CLUJ and Physical Director GGM Science College, Dr. Banpreet Kour, Associate Dean Students Welfare, Malik Aijaz (Physical Director SPMR College of Commerce), Roopali Salathia (Physical Director GCW Gandhi Nagar), Prof. Parshotam Singh, Prof. Ishtaq, Neelam Assistant Physical Director (Govt. MAM College), Anil Assistant Physical Director (GCW Gandhi Nagar) and Pawan Giri Assistant Physical Director (GGM Science College),were present there. The matches were officiated under the supervision of Sushil Kumar. |
