BBBP campaign: Awareness programme organised at Rajouri

RAJOURI SEPTTEMBER 18: An awareness programme on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) campaign was held today here at Government Girls Model Higher Secondary School.
Nodal officer Beti Bachao,Beti Padhao, Bilal Rashid Mir supervised the event held in association with MSK Rajouri.
Kuldeep Raj Gupta, a renowned social worker was the chief guest.
In his address, Gupta said that nowadays girls are excelling in all distinct fields like Air force, Army etc and are no less than men in any sector. He stressed on eradicating all types of crime against women to empower them.
The Nodal Officer BBBP highlighted various issues regarding women and assured that far reaching initiatives have been taken to reduce the gap between male and female sex ratio. He said true empowerment not only means education and economic empowerment but also the fact that women are able to move fearlessly.
Women Welfare Officer Rajouri, Dr. Anum Mirza said women have made great strides in various fields equaling and even surpassing men. “And many of these women did it braving adverse situations.
Principal Government Girls Model Higher Secondary School Rajouri, Administrator One Stop Centre for Women, Neetu Sharma, Members of MSK Rajouri and staff members of the school were present on the occasion.
