Rajouri PG College forms Alumni Association

Rajouri, Sept 18: Government P.G College Rajouri has formed an Alumni Association to involve the glinting super achievers of variegated fields to play a constructive role in the society.
In this regard, a meeting, chaired by College Principal Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Raina who himself is the alumni of the first batch of the college, was convened by Alumni Committee headed by Dr. Mohammad Saleem Wani Convenor, along with Prof. Asif Ajaz Lone and Dr. Gulshan Rashid.
The prominent alumni unanimously nominated as office bearers of the association included Dr. Ashfaq Zarri Registrar BGSB University, as chairman, Rajiv Khajuria Ex-member SCOC and founder Emeritus NDF as Dy. Chairman, Bilal Rashid Dy. Director planning as General Secretary, Pankaj Chandan as Secretary for Environmental Concerns, Imran Chowdhary Chief Actts Officer, as Secretary for public relation, Tanveer Ahmed Mir, Principal in School education, as secretary for socio-educational concerns, Dr. Nahim-Un-Nisa HOD Arabic as joint secretary, Dr. Sachi Sood Astt.Prof English BGSB University as Joint Secretary and Prof. Asif Ajaz Lone as treasurer. The Principal and the members of association stressed upon the need to make synchronised efforts with variegated organizations, colleges and universities to make substantial contribution towards the society, country and humanity at large in socio-educational, enviro-cultural and peace oriented activities. A tentative directory of alumni was also released on the occasion.
Among others present in the meeting were Dr. Zaheer Abbas, HOD Maths BGSB University, Prof. Z.A. Mirza IQAC coordinator, Prof. Iqbal Raina, Prof. Bashir Chowdhary, Nabeela Nazneen Dy. Registrar BGSB University, Prof Anwar Shah, Prof. Nazakat Hussain, Prof Amjed Khan Bhatti and many senior members of teaching faculty of the college.
