| NCC Cadet of GDW Udh visits Orphanage home | | |

Udhampur, Sept 19: The NCC cadets of Government College for Women Udhampur under the competent guidance of Principal of the college Prof. Subhash Chander visited Old age and Orphanage home Udhampur. Prof. Poonam Rajput and Prof. Sumita Rao the respective caretaker of college NCC wing also accompanied them. The aim of the visit was to inculcate a sense of selfless service in the cadets. Before leaving for the Oldage and orphanage home, the principal of the college Prof. Subhash Chander addressed the NCC cadets and stressed upon the selfless service towards the elderly and needy people. He also impressed upon to be empathetic towards the specially-abled person, poor, elderly, nature and animals.
He asserted that the only way to attain true mental peace and the satisfaction of life is to render selfless services to the entire humanity. The NCC cadets also carried fruits and various food items to distribute among the people in the oldage and orphanage home. The cadets also spent time with the people there and were touched after listening the diverse experiences of the veterans and the orphans. Moreover, cadets also distributed school bags and sports items to the children living in the orphanage. The cadets felt elated and blissful in the company of elderly and decided to serve the old and needy people to the best of their capability throughout their lives. They have also taken a vow to spread the message of love, compassion and empathy to the entire humankind. |
