Traders, Majlis-e-Shoura distances itself from unannounced shutdown call

Jammu, Sept 19: The Chenab Valley Traders Association today distances itself from unannounced shutdown call being observed at Kishtwar since last two successive Friday's added that the traders in Kishtwar District are living in fear psychosis following uncertainty over the prevailing security situation in Kishtwar.
While addressing hurdle called Press Conference, General Secretary Chenab Valley Traders Association Kishtwar Arshad Hussain Giri said that the Association has been called for the meeting by the senior police officials along with members of Majlis e Shoura to discuss the issue of unannounced shutdown call being observed in Kishtwar District. He said that the Association clarified the Police that the association has not issued any shutdown call over the prevailing Kashmir situation following the abrogation of the Article 370 & 35 A of the constitution and showed their unawareness with regard to the pertaining issue. He said that even Shoura committee Kishtwar inform the police that they have not given any shutdown call informing the police that people are putting down their shutters aimed threat perception. He said that the traders are the soft target of anti national elements added that killing of Parihar brothers is an example to it and said that even protected persons like PDP District President are not feeling safe after weapon snatching and hostage crises incident reported last week. He also announced that the association members has decided to dissolve the body as the prevailing situation is not conducive for carrying out the association activities.
Chairmen of the Association Ishataq Ahmed Waza, President Mansoor Ahmed Mattoo and other members of the parent body also accompanied the Association General Secretary.
