Jammu, Sept 19: Katra Police arrested one person and recovered 12 number of liquor bottles of Rum Jammu and Kasmir Excise near Katra town.
According to police sources, in continuation of the drive against liquor smugglers in the holy town Katra, Katra Police apprehended one person namely Shamsher Singh son of Thakur Singh resident of village Pardhal, Tehsil Katra District Reasi from PCP Ballini along with vehicle bearing registration no. JK14B-4163 coming towards Katra town and Police party recovered 12 number of Bottles of liquor J&K Excise from his possession.
On this, the accused person was arrested and a case FIR No 213/2019 under section 188 RPC was registered at Police Station Katra. The arrest and recovery has been made by SHO PS Katra Inspector Pardeep Gupta under the supervision of SDPO Katra Vivek Shekhar- KPS, ASP Katra Naresh Singh- KPS and overall supervision of SSP Reasi Rashmi Wazir- KPS.
