Udhampur, Sept 19 : Dr. SD Singh Jamwal IPS, IGP/ Director SKPA Udhampur held darbar of Police officers and officials working in the Police Academy Uhampur on 19.09.2019 at Sher-e-Kashmir Police Auditorium Udhampur.
Dr. Jamwal heard the grievances of the staff working in the Academy and assured them that their genuine grievances shall be addressed on priority.
While speaking on the occasion Dr. Jamwal said that all the Police officers/ officials working on different assignments in this Academy are performing their duties as per scheduled programmes, but there is still scope to work with more zeal, honesty and dedication, so that 600 trainee Sub-Inspectors who are undergoing their Basic Training Course here at Police Academy are imparted quality Police Practical Training in Outdoor and Indoor Wings to enable them to deliver better Police services to the society in the coming decades.
He also said that provision of better civic amenities, logistic support and adequate accommodation to the trainee officers should be our topmost priority.
He also said that the assigned tasks should be accomplished in a mission mode manner as Academy is preparing to upgrade the existing training infrastructure to the level of a National Police Academy. To fulfill the dreams the role of supervisory staff and their teams become more important and vital, he added.
He further disclosed that various innovative programmes relating to training affairs and for welfare the measure of trainee and staff are being initiated viz construction of the open gym, up-gradation of parks, sports ground and provision of study table in each room of trainees , AC facility Library and others are in pipeline.
