| Inter-District Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament begins in Kishtwar | | |  Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Sept 19: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana today inagurated two days Inter District (Divisional level) tennis ball cricket tournament of boys/girls at Historic Chowgan Ground Kishtwar here.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Kishtwar Jaffer Hussain Sheikh, Conveners, Technical Officials and Escorted officials along with students of participating schools remained present on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, DDC stated that there is no dearth of talent in our youth and the administration is putting all possible efforts to develop sports infrastructure in every village for providing an opportunity to the youth to channelize their talent in the right direction.
Interacting with the participating teams he asked them to inculcate the true sportshipmen quality and spirit in themselves.
He also threw light on "FIT INDIA" campaign and the importance of sports in contributing a healthy society and urged upon all the citizens to devote some time for their fitness.
DYSSO Kishtwar, informed that Department of Youth Services & Sports District Kishtwar has hosted Inter District Divisional Level competition of Tennis Ball Cricket tournament in the age groups of U/17 & U-19 Boys/Girls.
The 14 Teams of 05 Districts viz Jammu, Reasi, Kathua, Ramban & Kishtwar of Jammu Division are taking part in the competition at said venue-he added.
Meanwhile a colourful cultural programme was presented by school students which was organised by DYSSO Kishtwar in collaboration with Cultural Cell Kishtwar & District Information Centre Kishtwar. |
