GCW Parade emerges winner in Western Vocal Solo

Jammu, Sept 19: Three events; Western Group Song, Western Vocal Solo and Western Instrumental were conducted today on ongoing 'RangTrang-Display Your Talent-2019' organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu in which students from the affiliated degree colleges and University departments participate in different competitions of music, dance, literary, fine-arts and theatrical activities. Prof. Jasbir Singh, Dean Students Welfare, Prof Yash Pal Sharma, Chairman Campus Cultural Committee, Prof. Anupama Vohra, Co-Chairperson Campus Cultural Committee, Dr. Anil Gupta, Assistant Dean Students Welfare felicitated the winners.
In Western Vocal (Group), the team of GCW Parade stood First, and the teams of The Business School, JU and The Law School, JU stood Second and Third respectively. Harjeet Guddu, Sh. Amarjeet Singh and Sh. John Jeenu were the judges of the eventand Dr. Hema Gandotra was the Teacher In-Charge of the event.
In Western Vocal (Solo), Asif Khan from KC Law College stood First. Samiya Khaliq from GMC, Jammu stood Second.
The Third position was secured by Shrey Bakshi from The Law School, JU. Certificates of Merit were awarded to Poornima Jojra from GDC, RS Pura and Nedhi Kumari from the Department of Zoology, JU. Dr. Sadaf Shah was the Teacher In-Charge of the event.
In Western Instrumental Solo, Sawish from GMC, Jammu was declared First.
The Second and Third positions were awarded to Dhruv Pant and ShreyBakshi respectively, both from The Law School, JU. Dr. Skarma Nonzom was the Teacher Incharge of the event.
The events were witnessed by members of Campus Cultural Committee, students and scholars of the University of Jammu and were coordinated by Ms. Mansi Mantoo (Media Officer), Sumeet Sharma (Drama Instructor), Ifra Kak (Cultural Officer).
Shrishti, Vaishali, Vrinda, Meenakshi, Alisha, Mehul, Anup and Shahraza looked after the hall management. The sound was operated by Kulbhushan Thakur &Arif Paul.
On 20 September, the event of Debate would be conducted at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu, from 10 am onwards.
