One day awareness programme held

Jammu, Sept 21: One day Awareness-cum-Demonstration programme held at Jamwal Groups of Education (IECS Polytechnic College) Purkhoo Jammu, which was organized by Civil Defence, Jammu under the supervision of Smt. Shashi Thakur, Dy.SP, Deputy Controller Civil Defence, Jammu. In the awareness camp more than 300 students and teaching/non-teaching staffs of the institution were made aware about the knowledge of First Aid, CPR, Chocking and Emergency methods of Rescue by the Civil Defence Instructors.
While speaking on the occasion Dy.SP Shashi Thakur Paramjit Kumar Chief Warden and R. Vijay Magotra, Dy. Divisional Warden Civil Defence Jammu highlighted the role of Civil Defence Wardens/Volunteers and importance of Civil Defence Organization during disaster to help the people as a first responder, Besides Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu also delivered lecture on the moral values to the students.
Er. Amit Sharma, Principal and Er. Ajay Jamwal Dean Administration of the institution were appreciated the role of Civil Defence Organization and thanked Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu and her team for organizing such important awareness programme. At least 300 students and teaching/non-teaching staffs of the institution were attended the programme.
