Digitalization of Land Records: Advisor Skandan reviews progress in Jammu
Directs DCs to expedite process for time bound completion

Jammu, Sept 21: Advisor to Governor, K Skandan today reviewed the progress on scanning and digitization process of Revenue records going on under Digital India Land Record Modernization Programme (DILRMP) and related issues here at a meeting with Deputy Commissioners of Jammu division.
The meeting was attended by Financial Commissioner Revenue, Dr Pawan Kotwal, Divisional commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Sushma Chouhan, ACR Jammu, ADC Jammu, Sub Divisional Magistrates of district Jammu and other concerned while Deputy Commissioners of other districts of Jammu division along with other concerned officers attended the meeting through video conferencing.
The Deputy Commissioner apprised the Advisor of number of documents have been scanned and number of Jamabandis (Record of Right) updated in their respective districts. It was informed that scanning of Revenue records is in progress in all the districts.
It was informed that, out of 3734 total jamabandis in Jammu Division, 2260 have been completed. Out of 533, 273 Jamabandis have been updated in district Kathua, 71 Jamabandis (Record of Right) completed in district Ramban, 110 in Kishtwar, 272 in district Rajouri, 440 in Jammu, 132 in Samba, 265 in Udhampur, 387 in Doda, 134 in Reasi while all Jamabandis have been completed in district Poonch.
DCs also apprised the meeting about the total number of documents scanned and status of quality check of scanned documents. They requested for providing additional man power, scanners and computers for early completion of digitalization process in their respective districts.
The Advisor directed the concerned for providing additional scann ers, computers, gen sets and other requisite material in the districts for further expediting the process of scanning for timely completion. He also directed the concerned officers to expedite the process of scanning and preparation of Jamabandis and strictly follow the deadlines to complete the digitalization of land records in time. Advisor also asked the concerned for constituting teams for on spot inspection and quality check of scanned documents.
