Chairman JKICS pays tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh

New Delhi, Sept 22: Management, Staff and members of Jammu & Kashmir Intellectual Civil Society, New Delhi held a meeting under the chairmanship S.S. Sodhi to pay rich tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh Ji.
On this occasion many VIP's, dignitaries, prominent citizens and others were also present.
S.S. Sodhi, Chairman highlighted the contributions of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji who dedicated his entire life for the welfare of the general public. His Excellency brought many social reforms like Free Education for all, Banned smoking at public places, banned untouchability, allowed entry in the temples of low caste people considered at that time, banned child marriage & Provided justice to all.
He even stated that "As a Ruler, I have no religion, All religions are mine and my religion is Justice."
Sodhi also stated that the social reforms done by Maharaja Hari Singh Ji about 80 years back are very- very important and useful even today for the welfare of the general public.
There is no doubt about it that Maharaja Hari Singh Ji was true patriot, great visionary, progressive thinker and social reformer whose aim was the welfare of the people for which he dedicated his entire life.
The chairman further stated that everybody should celebrate his birthday where ever they are and thank him for giving us such a beautiful state to live in happily.
All the members of the civil society expressed happiness for the awareness he brought into the notice of the members and thanked him for this purpose.
