Awareness programme for school children organized

Bani, Sept 22: An awareness programme for school children onProtection of Child from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act 2012 was conducted at Panekhi Middle School Bani - District Kathua.
The said programme was conducted under the auspicious of Joginder Singh Jasrotia (SDM BANI) as chief guest, Sidhant Vaid (Chairman Legal Service authority Munsif Tehsil Bani) as guest of Honour, and DGM civil NHPC SEWA-II , JSP Kesari as guest of honour.
The objective of the programme is to create awareness on topics including services, statutory body, Institutional care and Non Institutional Care etc. under the POCSO Act.
More than 200 students and Teaching staff of Govt. Middle school Panekhi, and Govt. high school Sitti were covered under the awareness programme.
The students present in the programme also spoke on the event of the different aspects of the act.
Further Sidhant Vaid (Chairman Legal Service authority Munsif Tehsil Bani) and Legal Experts Nadim Azaz and Advocate Harish Sharma present in the programme , shared their opinions on the said Act.
A film show was also organized at the end of the programme to aware the students and the guests present to aware about the Good touch and Bad Touch. At the end of the programme mementos were given to the participating students and also refreshment was arranged for the participating students.
