JU VC releases report on skill mapping, skill developmental plan

Jammu, Sept 23: Prof Manoj Dhar, Vice chancellor, University of Jammu in presence of M.S. Babu, M D , Chenab Valley Power Projects (P) Ltd., S.H. Zargar, Chief General Manager (Planning), CVPPL, Virender Salman, GM Kiru HE Project, CVPPPL, Dr. Ravi Sharma, Manager (Env.) , CVPPPL, Prof Anil K. Raina and Dr Sanjay Sharma, Deptt of Env. Sc JU, released the report on Skill Mapping and Skill Developmental Plan for Project Affected Families of Kiru HE Project and handed over the report to the officials of Chenab Valley Power Projects (P) Ltd. Prof. Dhar appreciated the efforts made by the team of Prof Raina and Dr Sharma for preparing this report, which is first of its kind, and stressed that it should be practically implemented for the benefit of the people of the area. He assured the CVPPPL officers for providing full support by the University authorities for enhancing the skill of the Project Affected Families. He also apprised that university has an Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Centre through which training can be imparted for some skill courses that can be useful for the people of the area. Babu along with Zargar and Salman lauded the support provided by the university authorities for taking this challenge and appreciated the efforts put in by Department of Environmental Sciences for the preparation of the report.
