Post Article 370 army, police announces job for J&K youth

Srinagar, Sept 25: Month after the Centre abrogated Article 370, the army and Jammu and Kashmir police has announced series of jobs opportunity for the youth of J&K. The development comes after the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi promised to provide employment opportunity to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
First it was the army which on 17th September announced 2780 vacancies in the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry for the Unit Headquarter Quota. The recruitment will be done by ARO Srinagar ARO Jammu and JKLI Regiment Centre. The recruitment rally will be held next month on 3rd and 4th October at JKLI regiment centre.
While on the other hand, The Jammu and Kashmir Police have sort online application of 1350 vacancies in two women battalion distributed as the guidelines of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. One battalion will be from the Jammu and other will be from Kashmir.
The advertisement for recruitment of constables in the proposed border and women battalions was issued on March 9. While as that forms for post of constables will be available from September 23 to October 22. The online applications are invited from the permanent residents related to women of Jammu and Kashmir for the post of Constables in two women battalions.
60 percent of the posts will be filled with that equally for border district of Jammu and Kashmir which includes Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, Poonch, Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora, Leh and Kargil. While as, 40% equally for the districts of Srinagar, Ganderbal, Budgam, Anantnag, Kulgam Pulwama, Shopian, Udhampur, Reasi, Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban.
While as the army has announced a series of recruitment rallies for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir from 12th October to 21st October under various categories. While as majority of vacancies are left for the youth of Kashmir.
All the rallies will be conducted at Old Air Field Army Camp, Rangreth form 12th October onwards. While as most of the vacancies are reserved for general duties which are reserved for youth of Kashmir, where as few posts are for various tradesmen, which are open for candidates of all district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Prior to that Jammu and Kashmir Police have also sought engagement of Special Police Officer in district Srinagar and Awantipora. There are 120 posts vacant for Special Police Officer in Awantipora.
Application forms of the SPO at Awantipora are to be filled by or before 30th September 2019. While as for SPO posts in Srinagar, the application forms are to be submitted from 23rd September to 2nd October 2019.
It is pertinent mention here that the government of India has already announced that it would carry a massive recruitment drive in Jammu and Kashmir following the abrogation of Article 370. The Government of India has announced that 50,000 posts will be filed up by recruitment agencies in Jammu and Kashmir in coming months.
