AAP castigates Union Govt for holding BDCS elections | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 30: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu and Kashmir has questioned the decision taken by government to conduct Block Development Council (BDC) elections, when even Home Minister was blaming 1987 elections as root cause of corruption. AAP leader Deep Singh said, "Was it an appropriate decision of BJP & Modi govt to go for an unholy alliance with PDP? Was it not a duty of BJP leadership to monitor the day to day corruption of their BJP ministers of said coalition govt? Was it not necessary for Modi govt to grant needed time to its state Governor for working on corrections after his loud announcement where he had blamed corruption & nepotism for the on going militancy? Was it not appropriate to develop a consensus on the objectionable clauses of Art 35-A? Similarly, is not true that Modi govt. has scrapped the Art 370 & 35-A in a haphazard manner to implement the hidden & communal agenda of RSS?". He further said it is once again very surprising on the part of Modi govt. that on one hand blames 1987 elections as root cause of terrorism whereas on the other hand its appointed Governor had blamed corruption & nepotism as a major factor behind the 70% militancy, Deep Singh further added. In fact, Governor's observation was very much right but he was not given the time for correction as Modi govt. was in hurry to implement the communal agenda of RSS. |
