RAJOURI, Oct 9: District Panchayat Election Officer, Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today convened a meeting with the nodal officers and representatives of political parties here in connections with the Block Development council elections.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Sher Singh, District Treasury Officer, Imran Mehmood, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Mohd Ashraf, Deputy District Election officer Rizwan Asger, Executive Engineer PWD Rajouri division Mohd Zubair, Additional District Informatics officer NIC, Ashwani Sharma, Assistant Regional transport officer Inzar Rana and other concerned officers and representatives of different political parties.
The DDC sought a detailed report from the concerned officers regarding the location of collection and dispatch centre for election material, transport plan, randomization and training and ballot paper printing room.
The Deputy District election officer informed that the training and randomization of the concerned officers shall be conducted in three phases October 12, October 15 and October 19.
The DDC stressed upon the concerned officers to put in place extra efforts to ensure that the elections are conducted in a smooth, fair and hassle free manner. He asked them to maintain coordination while performing various election related activities.
