UDHAMPUR, Oct 9: To discuss preparations for smooth, free and fair conduct of Block Development Council Elections 2019, the District Panchayat Election Officer, Udhampur Dr. Piyush Singla today interacted with the Election Observers here at a meeting .
Deputy District Panchayat Election Officer, Dr. Kusum Chib gave a detailed resume on the election preparedness. She said that all the arrangements are in place to ensure free and fair elections, including Implementation of Model Code of Conduct, monitoring of model code of conduct, vigilance on expenditure, paid news, Flying squad. Dy DEO informed that different committees have been constituted to check the implementation of Model Code of Conduct in the district.
Threadbare discussions were held on arrangements including randomization of polling staff, Security arrangements, Deployment of police personnel, status of polling stations, Imposition of MCC, Flying squad, Manpower and Material Management, Transport Plan, communication plan, polling stations, logistic supports to observers, and maintenance of statutory registers. |
