| DPEO Doda briefs Observers about their role | | |  Early Times Report
DODA, Oct 9: District Panchayat Election Officer Dr Sagar D Doifode today chaired a meeting of the Observers appointed for the smooth conduct of the elections in the district.
A threadbare discussion was held regarding the role and responsibilities of the Observers during the elections, which was thoroughly briefed by the DPEO.
The DPEO asked the Observers to closely oversee the entire election process in their respective blocks at micro level, enforce the MCC guidelines in letter and spirit and report on all activities to the Chief Election Officer and DPEO offices on daily basis. He informed them about the schedule dates of nominations, scrutiny, withdrawal, symbol allotments to the contesting candidates, poll day and counting which will be done on the same day. The Observers were also informed about the publishing of the final candidate list and electoral roll.
He also informed that all the polling stations have been established at centrally located place of the block. He asked them to visit the polling stations and review the arrangements as per the guidelines of election authorities.
