IECS polytechnic's technical knowledge week concludes

Jammu, Oct 9: The technical knowledge dissemination week organized by IECS Polytechnic concluded here today.
On the occasion, a one day workshop was conducted by NIIT, Jammu for the students of computer Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering department on topic "JAVA Technology and its applications". Mr. Rahul Sharma, Director, NIIT and team of experts were resource persons for the workshop.
Another workshop was also conducted by IIHT, Jammu on topic "Computer networking and hardware repair". Er Rakesh Sharma, In charge, IT Head, IIHT, Jammu and team of experts were resource persons for the workshop.
These workshops were followed by a visit to 'National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology' (NIELIT), University of Jammu. The students were guided by Kulbushan Kumar, coordinator Head, NIELIT to various labs including Programming labs, SSRB Junior Asst Typing Exam lab, Electronics lab, Forensic lab and Communication skills lab.
Earlier the students were given lecture on CCNA by Mr Lokesh Dogra, Senior Lecturer, NIELIT and MATLAB by Mr Ravi Kumar, Sr Lecturer, .NIELIT Er. Ajay Singh Jamwal, Dean Administration asserted that such kind of workshops makes students more compatible with today's industrial requirements. Er. Amit Sharma, Principal IECS polytechnic lauded the efforts of training and placement cell and Heads of different departments for successful completion of Technical Dissemination week.
Others present during the workshops and visits included Mrs. Sonika Koul, Coordinator, Er. Gurbachan Singh, HOD Civil Engg. Deptt., Er. H.N Bhat HOD Mechanical Engg. deptt., Er. Vijay Singh HOD Electrical Engg. Deptt. Er. Daljeet Kour, HOD Electronics and Communication Engg. Deptt, Er. Sandeep Singh, I/C Computer Sciences Deptt, and other faculty members.
