Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat nominates Office Bearers

Jammu, Oct 13: Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat today held its working committee meeting and it was the 1st meeting to be held in its own office which starts functioning after 22 years. The meeting was called to celebrate the 153rd Birth Anniversary of Sher-E-Duggar Late Lala Hans Raj Mahajan, founder of Mahajan Sabha, which falls on 2nd October.
During the meeting the office bearers were introduced and nominated for various responsibilities in which Raj Kumar Gupta was nominated as Senior Vice President, Kushvinder Gupta and Mohan Gupta as Vice Presidents, Ashok Gupta as General Secretary, Advocate Ishant Gupta as Publicity Secretary, Dalip Gupta as Secretary, Vishav Deep Gupta as Cashier and Prof. Dr. Subash Gupta as Committee Incharge for Matrimonial and Career Counselling.
While speaking on the occasion, President Vipan Gupta apprised the members about the contribution of Late Lala Hans Raj Mahajan towards social reforms, untouchability and poor dowry system, widows and orphans. He further informed the committee about the works being carried out during the last four and half months which comprised of membership drive, collection of subscription for two years, registration of new members, revise family directory and much more. He added that they have also started career counselling which is of the first of its kind in Mahajan Sabha. He further stated that in upcoming days we are going to made ladies wing to be active and also setup free medical camps after Diwali.
The working committee members of the sabha honoured Ashok Jandial outgoing president for his various contributions to the sabha by presenting him a memento.
Large number of working committee members attended the meeting.
