JKReTTF demands release of pending salary of NPS teachers

UDHAMPUR, Oct 13: Urging the Governor administration to release pending salary of NPS teachers, Jammu and Kashmir ReT Teachers Forum (JKReTTF) said that these teachers are without salary for the last five months.
The demand was raised during the monthly meeting of JKReTTF held under the chairmanship of its senior vice chairman Bhupinder Singh, state coordinator Pritam Dhiman, senior leader Sunil Salaria and provincial secretary Surjeet Singh.
A large number of teachers from all eleven Zones of District Udhampur participated in the meeting
While speaking on the occasion, Bhupinder Singh said that Grade III Teachers are also without salary for the last eight months and their families are on the verge of starvation. Singh added that if we didn't get the salary before upcoming festivals includeing Karwa Chauth and Diwali, then hundreds of teachers across the state will come on roads and launch state wide agitation in favour of genuine demands of the teaching community.
Singh also demanded to convert all left out RReTs to Teacher Grade II and III and also release their pending arrears, convert all newly RReTs to Grade II and Grade III teachers and regularize the services of ReTs who have completed five years of service satisfactorily.
He also stressed upon state government to release pending salary of Masters posted as Head Teachers and release their 7th Pay Commission arrears as well as convert the posts of these Head Teachers to State Non-Plan posts so that they get their salary timely .
Singh appealed the Governor Adminstation to Concede these burning demands of teaching Community otherwise Forum will launch agitation near future.
State Coordinator Pritam Dhiman also addressed the gathering and appealed the Teaching Community across the state to remain united in future to resolve the genuine demands of teaching community.
