Poonch, Oct 13: The mismanagement of Power Development Department Poonch can be well gauged from the fact that despite advance notice of power cuts, the department continues to make prolong power cuts defying the scheduled timing as result business community of the Poonch district has been facing huge loss.
Sources told Early Times that these days PDD has been carrying out some repairing and maintenance works in the town and for that it has been taking power shut down by issuing notice to the public through social media but the timing mentioned in the notice is not being followed by the department.
"The Executive Engineer (XEn) Poonch has forwarded a massage of power shut down in social media today to spreads the massage among the public but the shut down timing is not being followed accordingly rather power cut continue to exceed from its timing mentioned in the notice due to which the local public particularly the business community has been facing loss in their business," they said further adding that today a massage was made viral by the XEn Poonch in the morning that there will be power shut down from 9 am to 5 pm but till last news pour in, the power was not restored in the town.
Besides this, the linemen in the area have created a nexus by allowing illegal connections to people in lieu of commission. At some place they have provided double lines. |
