Senior Citizen Club organizes ghazal program

Udhampur, Oct 13: As an activity to promote story and ghazal writers in Dogri language, 'Senior Citizen's Club' Udhampur in an association with "Rachnakar Kala Sahitya Academy Udhampur" in collaboration with Sahitya Academy New Delhi organized a progromme in the premise of 'Jagriti Old Age Home' Udhampur.
Large number of invited guests from Udhampur, Ramnagar and Reasi, including Mahadeep Singh Jamwal, President of Senior Citizen Club Udhampur, Club Officers Raj Guru, Maqbool Shah, Ratan Manotra and members apart from Bikram Slathia, Balraj Bakshi, Shiv Nirmohi, Jiya Lal Jiya, Ram Ratan Sharma, Chairman of Old Age Home, Dr. RC Nagar and associates of 'Meri Mittar Mandli' especially Rekha Thakur attended the function. Prakash Premi Sahitya Acadmy Awardees, organized the programme and managed the stage. On this occasion, writer Raj Rahi from Reasi presented the story 'Miladi Zuladi Nuyar'. Jagdeep Dubey presented his story 'Charu' which depicted the agony of the martyr's wife who laid his life for the sake of the country. Duni Chand Pathak from Ramnagar left a deep impression among the audience by presenting his mesmerizing ghazal and song. Desh Bandhu Nutan Dogra, conferred with Sahitya Akademi Award, specially made a presentation on literary journey of his life.
