10/13/2019 11:38:53 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 13: As expected abrogation of Article 370 is dominating campaign of Maharashtra and Haryana assembly polls because all BJP leaders all raking up this issue to corner opposition parties especially Congress.
Rule played by Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad during debate after abrogation of Article 370 is going to costly dearly to the Congress party in assembly polls of these two states. All BJP leaders, from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to chief ministers of Haryana and Maharashtra are raising issue of Article 370 to educate the people about 'negative' role played by Congress leaders when this Article was abrogated.
Although after facing peoples' anger against those who are opposing scrapping of Article 370 Ghulam Nabi Azad has maintained a silence on this highly controversial issue, BJP leaders are reminding voters of Maharashtra and Haryana about Azad and other Congress leaders who had strongly opposed abrogation of Article 370. BJP leaders, in every public meeting, highlighted speech of Azad in the Rajya Sabha when he tried to exploit sentiments of a particular community after BJP government abrogated Article 370.
Today while addressing a public meeting at Maharashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dared Congress to declare in their manifesto that they would bring back Article 370 to Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing his first rally ahead of the October 21 Maharashtra Assembly polls, Modi said J&K was "not just a parcel of land, but crown of India", and assured it will not take more than four months to normalise the kind of situation that prevailed there for 40 years.
He accused the Opposition parties of politicising the issue of Article 370 and charged them with "speaking on the same lines as that of the neighbouring country".
Attacking the Congress and NCP, Modi said it was "unfortunate" that they were "politicising" the "unprecedented" decision of scrapping of Article 370.
Their leaders thought exactly opposite of what the entire nation feels about Jammu and Kashmir, he said.
