Errors in transfer/posting order issued by RD&PR
'SE to look after XEn's works, XEn in Tourism Deptt transferred as AEE (REW) from Akhnoor to Sunderbani'

Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 13: Apparently an un-checked transfer and posting order issued by the department of Rural Development & Panchyati Raj (RD&PR) left the department embarrassing, as in-charge Superintending Engineer (SE) Rural Engineer Wing (REW) Kashmir 'demoting' has been made in-charge Executive Engineer (EXn), despite sufficient number of EXns in the department.
Moreover, in another blunder, as engineer who has been promoted as EXn and shifted in PW R&B a month back, is transferred and posted in Sunderbani by the department as AEE.
According to sources recent govt order No. 278-RD&PR of 2019 Dated 10/10/2019 issued by, RD&PR reveals a shocking issue of a transfer of one AEE, Mujib Ahmad Tak, Sub Division Akhnoor (serial no. 6) to sub Division Sunderbani, otherwise, he has been promoted as Executive Engineer by PWD and thereafter transferred to Tourism Department and subsequently working as Executive Engineer, in Tourism Department, Jammu more than a month back, but has been transferred as AEE by the RD&PR, raises a question mark on department's functioning.
The order further ridiculed department when it made in-charge Superintending Engineer (REW) Kashmir in-charge Executive Engineer (REW) Srinagar and Ganderbal districts (serial no. 2). It is being alleged that the error was not the only issue in the order, in which 21 officers had been transferred but it smells pick & choose as ignoring rule the department had demoted several other officers, and also as lot of officers despite completion of their tenure of more than two years has not been touched. "An Assistant Engineer is sitting in the Directorate of Rural Development Jammu for last more than 10 years, neither his parent department (PW, R&B) bothered to shifted him nor the RD&PR look into his over stay at same place", sources said.
