Art 370 created fiefdom for benefits of few families: Prof Gupta
10/14/2019 9:13:00 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 14: Asserting that J&K is core of India, the former Union Minister, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta observed that any differential treatment to any part of the country under communal considerations ran counter to the basic Principals of the constitution and encourages the fissiparous tendencies as was in the valley of Kashmir making the life miserable and forced out the minorities to become refugees within their own country.
Interacting with callers from Gujrat and some other parts of the country Prof. Gupta pointed out that under Article 370 and 35-A, Jammu and Kashmir was made a strange part of India where the Jawans from all parts come to defend from inimical elements and shed their blood but they have no right to stay or any right of citizenship, whereas people of this State enjoyed all the rights like other countrymen. Similarly the Indian money was pumped for development of the State but people from outside had little rights to enjoy the benefits of this money.
Thus, J&K was created a fiefdom for the benefits of a few families who were making hey but at the cost of Indian blood and butter, he added and said that Modi led dispensation at the Centre need all the kudos for having taken a bold step to rectify the blooper incorporated as a temporary provision .
