Farooq Khan chairs 19th meeting of State Wakf Council

JAMMU, Oct 14: The 19th meeting of State Wakaf Council was held here today under the Chairmanship of Advisor to Governor Farooq Ahmed Khan, who is also Chairman of J&K Wakaf Council.
The Advisor accorded approval to a plethora of welfare and development works during the meeting. It was decided that the assets of the Board would be utilized to their full potential for generating maximum revenue. It was also unanimously decided that the recovery from the debtors would be further geared up. For timely intervention in making the Wakaf properties better utilized, the Board decided to constitute a committee to instantly undertake minor repairs wherever required.
They were asked to give their feedback and suggest measures for its better management and results.
Farooq Khan urged upon the members to invest their valuable time towards further streamlining of functioning of the Board which will help the Board to grow and serve the society in a better way. He expressed confidence that the Board would take all the measures to enhance its revenue and recovery in the times ahead.
