Punjabi wrestler Rishu wins Gole Panj Peer Dangal title

Jammu, Oct 15: Punjab Wrestler Rishu Pahalwan clinched the annual "Gole Panj Peer Dangal" title by defeating Wrestler Asif from Jammu in a very tough fight. The Dangal was organized by Farman Ali, organizer of the Dangal Committee and the tournament was attended by many dignitaries including MP Rajya Sabha Shamsher Singh Manhas as Chief Guest and Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) as Guest of Honor. Others including State Vice President BJP and Corporator Pramod Kapahi, Corporator Ward 32 Sat Pal Karlupia and many others were also present. In all, dozens of bouts were played in the one day long Dangal and wrestlers from various States participated in the tournament to display their fighting skills.
The first Mali bout (1st Malli) winner Rishu Pahalwan was cash awarded with Rupees 21000 while the runner up Wrestler form Jammu, Asif was cash awarded with Rupees 15000 and third position holder Sadiq was cash awarded with Rupees 11000 by both Shamsher Singh and Sat Sharma.
