Mahila Congress protests statement of Haryana CM

Jammu, Oct 15: Taking strong exception of the statement of Haryana, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar against Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Mahila Congress on Tuesday demanded an unconditional apology from him for disrespecting womenfolk.
President Pradesh Mahila Congress J&K and EX-MLA Indu Pawar slammed Khattar for his deplorable remarks against Sonia Gandhi ji and said Khattar's remarks against the Congress President are a clear reflection of his and the BJP's disrespectful attitude towards women.
"We in the Congress are committed to upholding the dignity in public life, But as a woman, I take offence to the disgraceful remark made and demand an unconditional apology," she said while addressing protesting workers of Mahila Congress who held demonstration against statement of Khattar.
Large number of Mahila Congress activists led by Indu Pawar staged a protest demonstration against Khattar. Activists shouted slogans against Khattar and BJP for disrespecting women.
"I strongly and unequivocally condemn Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar's remarks against Congress President Sonia Gandhi Ji.
His remarks against the Congress President are deplorable and un parliamentary, it is a clear reflection of his and the BJP's disrespectful attitude towards women". Ms. Indu Pawar said and adding, "Khattar statement is an attempt to lower the discourse is an attempt to divert attention from real issues that are being evaded, like joblessness and acute economic slowdown. Can anyone deny that Haryana has become the rape capital of India".
