Pak troops resort to ceasefire violations despite US warning
10/15/2019 10:26:44 PM
The Government of India is likely to streamline the security grid in the state of Jammu and Kashmir because of the situation having created by the civilians and Kashmir centric political leaders. No doubt over scores of political leaders have been arrested and kept under detention still the situation is not conducive for the proposed Block Development Council elections. And already the Congress has reversed its stand and has imitated the PDP an d the National Conference which have decided not to contest the elections. This is going to help them to woo voters so that these voters could help them retaining or regaining power. And the Assembly elections are not far off and in this connection the Home Minister Amit Shah has held a meeting with top security officials and discussed the prevailing situation in the state.
The hour-long meeting was attended by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Union Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba and other senior officials.
The situation in the state is understood to have been discussed in the meeting, and if need be additional troops or paramilitary forces could be deployed in the state. Jammu and Kashmir has been on the edge following deployment of additional security forces in the state last week.
The administration of Jammu and Kashmir, which is under President's rule, has ordered curtailment of annual Amarnath Yatra and asked pilgrims and tourists to leave Kashmir Valley, citing terror threat. The security situation was derailed because of abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A. This has created a new tension in the Kashmir valley.
Outstation students, studying in the NIT in Srinagar, have also been asked to leave the campus and go home and not to return till further order. Following the deployment of additional troops and other steps, there have been rumours that the war may erupt between India and Pakistan which is to limit not beyond the borders. And already Pakistan has been regular is violation of ceasefire and yesterday two Jawans were killed in the fire open by the Pakistan troops. Despite the fact that the US and China have warned against ceasefire violations but the Pakistan troops are determined to test the Indian capacity and hitherto, Indian troops have foiled repeated ingress attempts and more than a score of militants who were being pushed into Jammu and Kashmir were killed.
