Jammu, Oct 16: The two days triennial Conference of Northern Zone Insurance Employees' Association Srinagar Division representing LIC employees of Jammu & Kashmir being held at Jammu, concluded with election of new committee for next three years.
The election was held in the supervision of Com. A.K.Bhatnagar-President of Northern Zone, Com. Naveen Chand-General Secretary Northern Zone and Com. Devi Dass- Organising Secretary of NZIEA. Com. A.M.Tantray, Com. Pawan Gupta and Com. Raj Kumar Sharma were unanimously elected as President, Divisional Secretary and Treasurer of the Association respectively. The other office bearers elected include vice President Com. Dinesh Sharma and Fyaz Ahmad Gul, Joint Secretaries Romesh Chand, Rajesh Gupta and Ajaz Ah. Dar, Assistant Treasurer Amarjeet Singh, Auditors Bashir Ah. Bhatt and Rajesh Kumar, Office Secretaries Abdul Majid Sheikh, Raj Kumar and Nadeem-Ul-Rehman.
He assured to continue the struggle of the Association to withdraw GST on insurance premium which is a big burden on the policyholders. He strongly criticized the neo liberal policies of the BJP led Govt. which are leading to increasing unemployment, joblessness, more violence against women, mob lynching, hatred in society, curtailment in budget of Education and health, increasing gap between rich and poor, selling of the public sector etc.
He resolved to continue the struggle against such anti people and anti employees policies of the Govt. Com. A.M.Tantray thanked all the participants including volunteers who worked hard to make this conference a big success. |
