Udhampur students outshine in divisional level competition

UDHAMPUR, Oct 16: The students of District Udhampur outshined in the Divisional Level Kala Utsav 2019 Competition organized by Directorate of School Education, Jammu on October15, 2019 at Teachers Bhawan, Gandhi Nagar Jammu. The competition was organized in four categories viz, Solo Singing, Solo Dance, Instrumental Music & Painting in which students from 10 Districts participated. The students adjudged as best Male & Female were awarded in each category.
In the event, students of Udhampur District namely Khushi (GHS -Kawa) & Radhika (GGHS-Ramnagar) were declared winner in Solo Vocal Music and Solo Instrumental Music respectively and would compete further at State Level Competition.
The other students Mohinder Kumar (GMHSS-Udhampur), Rakesh Kumar (GHSS-Rasli Gadheran) and Sahil Thakur (Happy Model Higher Secondary School Udhampur) bagged 2nd positions in Solo Dance, Solo Instrumental Music and Painting, respectively.
Chief Education Officer, Daljeet Singh appreciated the hard work of students and efforts of Coordinator- District Cultural Cell Saguna Khajuria and the team. He also blessed the students for their success.
