BVP organises National Group Song Competition-2019

KATHUA, Oct 17: Bahart Vikas Parishad Kathua organised District Level Inter-School National Group Song Competition-2019 in the premises of Nav Adarsh Hr. Sec. School, Kathua. Arun Gupta (KPS), SSP Police Training School Kathua was the Chief Guest while the function was presided over by Sushil Sharma, National Secretary, Bharat Vikas Parishad (North)
The program started with lighting the traditional lamp followed by Saraswati Bhandana. The function was attended by a large number of members of civil society, representatives of various NGOs and social organisations. A total number of seven already screened teams participated in the competition held in Hindi and Sanskrit Languages. The team of Learning Temple High School was adjudged as 1st while teams from Spring Dales Sr. Sec. School and Nav Adarsh Hr. Sec. School Kathua secured 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. Rakesh Sambyal, Kapil Thapa and T R Sumbria were the jury members for the competition.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest emphasised upon holding of such competitions so as to develop and inculcate national felling and understanding among the youth. He lauded the role of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Kahua Unit for holding such programs. Sushil Sharma while addressing the gathering, elaborated upon the role and activitiesof BVP. Gandharb Singh Katal, President gave the welcome address. Prof. Ram Murti Sharma, Chief Patron gave a brief history cum aims and objectives of Bharat Vikas Parishad. Ashok Gupta presented Vote of Thanks.
Present among others in the function were Sardar Khan,.V.R Sharma, K.C Gupta, Kuldeep Malhotra, T R Mahajan, Hem Raj, Ditt Kumar, Khem Raj, Gopal Sharma, Kapil Sharma, Mahipal Sharma, Biwakar Singh, Yog Raj, Satpal Badyal and teachers of various schools. The proceedings of the program were carried out by R.S Katal. The program concluded with National Anthem.
