Five day civil defence training camp begins

Jammu, Oct 17: Five days Basic Civil Defence training camp started by Civil Defence Jammu at Conference Hall RCDCC Jammu,The camp was organized under the able guidance of, Muneer Ahmed Khan, Addl. Director General of Police, HG / CD & SDRF J&K,. VikasGupta, JKPS, SSP, Incharge DIG HG/CD & SDRF Jammu and under the close supervision of Dy.SPShashi Thakur, Dy. Controller Civil Defence, Jammu. In the training programme Civil Defence Instructors were given the lecture on First Aid, Fire Fighting and other rescue techniques etc. Paramjit Kumar, Chief Warden Jammu in his speech highlighted the role of Civil Defence wardens/volunteers during disaster to help the people as a first responder.
The main aim of the training programme to facilitate the volunteers to deal with emergency situations like earthquake, fire, road accidents, etc. 17 Civil Defence Volunteers attended the training programme. Besides, the following Civil Defence wardens :- Bhupinder Singh Manhas, Post Warden, S. Harcharan Singh, Post Warden were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile one day awareness/demonstration programme held at SOS Campus, GoleGujral, Jammu, which was organized by Civil Defence, Jammu under the supervision of Dy.SPShashi Thakur, Dy. Controller Civil Defence, Jammu. In the awareness camp the participants were given the knowledge of First Aid, CPR, Chocking, Emergency methods of rescue, fire fightingalongwith demonstration by the Civil Defence Instructors.
While speaking on the occasion, Paramjeet Kumar, Chief Warden, Civil Defence Jammu has delivered the valuable lecuture on disaster management and highlighted the role of Civil Defence organization.
