Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 17: District General Secretary Congress Anoop Gupta anguished over the delay in result of class 4th post was advertised by Govt Medical College Jammu bearing No.2 of 2017 dated April 2017.He said that the applicants had submitted application forms completed for these posts. However despite delay of more than 2 years nothing has come out.
In a press statement Gupta said that applicants are about to cross the upper age limit and will be overage if the recruitment process is delayed further. In this way we would be put to great loss.
"For thousands of aspirants from different districts of the Jammu province who have applied for recruitment to 300 Class IV posts of divisional cadre at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, their hopes are fading away due to the delay in the recruitment process. The aspirants were seen approaching officials concerned to know the present status regarding the filling of the posts for which more than 85,000 candidates had submitted their applications manually in April-May this year. However, of the 300 Class IV posts that were advertised by the GMC in April, there were 171 vacancies for open merit, while SC and ST had 24 and 30 vacancies, respectively."he added.
Gupta urged Governor to kindly intervene in the matter and necessary directions to the concerned authorities be issued for finalizing the selection/declaration of the same without further delay so that the future of the applicants hanging in balance may not get ruined.
