Poonch, Oct 17: People In mendhar have alleged that private transporters including Tata Sumo Owners , Tavera and others charge exorbitant rates from the gullible public.
They said private passenger vehicles have been charging fares from one place to another place of their own will throwoing traffic rules to the dustbin.
Locals alleged that we are being charged Rs 600 per passenger from Mendhar to Jammu while local fares too were very high and there was no check on the private passenger transport owner on the part of traffic department. Meanwhile Social worker of the area Mushtaq Ahmed has urged Transport commissioner to take some measures to tighten the noose of such violators who are hell bent to loot the gullible public.
