JKPCC questions PDD's privatization, Sarore toll plaza 10/18/2019 10:05:17 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 18: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has termed the privatization of Power Development Department as anti people move of the government which would badly affect the common and poor man besides the service condition of employees especially the fate of daily wagers, need based and casual workers. Urging the government to review its decision and take into consideration the demands of the employees including daily wagers, casual and need based workers, Congress has described the privatization as anti-people especially the poor and common people who would suffer the most and face the exploitation in the hands of private players, unless proper check and balance mechanism is put in place. Extending support to the agitating employees, Congress has asked the government to put in public domain the entire roadmaps including fate of daily wagers, need based and casual workers apart from the measures to protect the interests of consumers who are real stake holders. Meanwhile, the party has lashed out at the centre and state government over being indifferent and insensitive to the woes of the people due to continued agitation over the issue of Toll Plaza at Sarore. The traffic is suspended and large scale protests and resentment has left the common man suffering but government is unmoved.
