| People of Panchayat Dhar-A call on DC Doda | | | Early Times Report
Doda, Oct 18: Public of panchayat Dhar-A block Ghat Doda Tehsil and district Doda today called on Deputy Commissioner Doda for reddressal of their problems.
The delegation members alleged that the guidelines and norms were kept aside. The department in collaboration with Sarpanch and Panches made the plan in absence of Gram Sabha. Notable thing is that no single gram Sabha is held in Panchayat till date after panchayat election held last year although Panchayati Raj Act says that there should be monthly meeting Gram Sabha.Plan of works is prepared totally opposite to the interests of people, they claimed.
They further alleged, funds are approved for those works which have been already done and do not have any need of major repairing while some new works are purposed for the personal benefits of Panches and Sarpanch only. Deputy Commissioner listened patiently to the deputation and instructed the respected ADDC Doda to enquire the matter from BDO within five days. Among the persons in deputation Anayatullah and Maghar Singh and others told media that they requested worthy DC Doda to investigate the matter for not following the guidelines in distribution of 14th FC funds which government has given to all panchayats. ADDC Doda has asked BDO Ghat to produced detail report about the matter with in 5 days. We are high greatful overwhelmed to Deputy Commissioner and ADDC Doda for their support and quick action and hope for justice.
They sought personal intervention of Governor in the matter to provide justice to poor public. |
